Mannlicher−Carcano is an Italian bolt-action, internal box magazine fed, repeating military rifle. Introduced in 1891, this rifle was the standard Italian military rifle from the late 19th century through World War II.
Officially designated as the Fucile Modello 1891 (Model 1891 Rifle) and chambered for the rimless 6.5×52mm Carcano round. During their service life, Carcanos were sometimes 'sporterized' or rechambered for other calibers, though the 6.5mm round Carcano remained standard until 1945. Terni manufactured these from 1892-1945, making this weapon likely antique.
Since these photos were taken near aquisition, I have cleaned and maintained the rifle to my standards. Specific photos can be sent on request. I do not have a box magazine yet, but am aquiring some as I have two of these rifles, ask if desired.
